This pathway explores the role of culture within business. After an introduction to the key elements of business culture, it looks at how the FCA defines culture and what it says are its four main drivers. It also looks at how to evidence culture, membership of trade bodies, industry codes and the development of subcultures. The pathway also examines how culture can be maintained and changed within a working environment and the challenges faced during this process. It also looks at how ethics fits within culture and the importance of establishing a code of ethics for your firm.
