The Investment Association are hosting a webinar on Wednesday 27 March in collaboration with PwC on their joint report: 'Insights and suggested actions on the FCA’s TCFD rules for asset managers: Lessons from year 1 reporting and recommendations going forward'.

During the webinar, the IA and PwC will take members through the report, including:

  • Findings on entity-level reporting
  • Findings on product-level reporting
  • The key challenges asset managers have faced in implementing the FCA’s rules
  • Areas where further guidance might be helpful
  • How best to approach reporting for firms reporting for the first time in 2024

There will also be an opportunity for Q&A at the end of the webinar should members have any questions that they would like to put to the IA and PwC teams.

David Croker, Partner, PwC
David is a Partner in the PwC’s Sustainability practice and leads the financial services practise.
David is a member of PwC's ESG leadership team and works with investment management and insurance clients, advising on areas of key regulatory focus, including ESG and sustainable finance. David has led teams supporting clients with a range of sustainability challenges, including ESG reporting, SFDR, TCFD and net zero strategy setting. David has also led Skilled Person reviews on a range of topics and regularly engages with the FCA and HMT.
Prior to joining PwC David worked at the FSA for 3 years within the Asset Management Department. During his time at the FSA David was a relationship management supervisor for a portfolio of listed and unlisted Asset Management firms, as well as being a technical specialist on prudential regulatory rules for investment firms.

Galina Dimitrova, Director - Investment and Capital Markets, The Investment Association
Galina is a Director of Investment & Capital Markets at the Investment Association (the “IA”) and a member of the IA Executive Committee.

In her role, she has overall responsibility for the IA’s work on investments and capital markets, including representing investors' interests in the efficient functioning of markets and quality of asset classes, such as Equity, Fixed-income, FX, Infrastructure, and Private Markets. She also has oversight of all IA Special Committees and ETFs, as well as all trading, market infrastructure and investment operations’ matters relevant to IA members.

Central to her portfolio is helping members with the evolving Sustainability & Responsible Investment landscape, including the growth of responsible investment products and strategies, our clients’ changing preference and working together towards an economy, society and planet fit for the future.

Prior to joining the IA in 2014, Galina worked in the investment banking industry and has over 10 years’ experience advising financial institutions across the world on M&A, capital raisings and restructurings, with a particular focus on emerging markets.

Galina sits on the Bank of England FX Joint Standing Committee and TheCityUK Board of Directors. She is also a member of the UK Risk Free Rate Working Group and the FCA’s Disclosures & Labels Advisory Group.

Flora Tudhope, Policy Lead – Sustainability & Responsible Investment, The Investment Association
Flora is the IA’s policy Lead in sustainability and responsible investment. Her work involves acting as a conduit between asset managers and policymakers to advocate for the interests of the industry, as well as working closely with asset managers on the implementation of key pieces of sustainability regulation. Flora works across a broad range of sustainability files including TCFD and SDR. She has previously held roles as a Corporate Governance Analyst within the IA’s Institutional Voting Information Service (IVIS) and as a policy adviser in the IA’s Investment & Capital Markets team.

Carol Thomas, Head of Sustainability and Responsible Investments, The Investment Association
Carol started her career in EU regulatory affairs in Brussels before joining the FSA in 2010. Carol’s work at the FSA/FCA spanned pension policy, financial disclosure and leading on life insurance thematic reviews. She also spent a year working for the Irish Department of Finance in Brussels covering financial services files in the European Council. In 2018, Carol joined the Investment Association as a Retail Markets Specialist covering all issues related to the regulation and distribution of retail funds in the UK and across the EU. Following a short period as Head of Asset Management Policy for M&G, Carol re-joined the IA and was appointed Head of Sustainability and Responsible Investment, leading on the full range of sustainability & responsible Investment issues impacting investment management industry today.
