Failure to Prevent Fraud - Interactive Webinar

Description

This interactive 90-minute webinar provides a practical and regulatory overview of the new “failure to prevent fraud” offence introduced under the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023. Francis Stroudley and Jacob Koree of Novatus Global will lead this session to explore the scope of the legislation, what constitutes fraud under the Act, the impact on investment firms and the expectations around “reasonable procedures” to prevent it. Participants will gain insight into how the offence applies to associated persons, and what steps firms must take to mitigate risk and demonstrate compliance. The course will include interactive implementation planning, guidance on policy and control design, and a discussion on how to embed fraud prevention into corporate culture. Attendees will leave with practical tools to support implementation within their firm.
