IA Webinar - European elections: The results and race for the top job

Description

.

WHY ATTEND

This webinar will introduce the main personalities and figures shaping the EU's agenda and policies in the next five years. It will focus on the roles and profiles of the President of the European Commission, the President of the European Council, and the Commissioner for Financial Services.

Key questions for discussion:

  • What do the results of the European elections mean for the future of financial services in Europe? How will the election results influence the approach towards financial services, and more broadly the UK/EU relationship in this next cycle?

  • What are the criteria and procedures for selecting and appointing the EU's top leaders, and what are their mandates and priorities? Who could emerge from the Spitzenkandidat process to lead the European Commission into the next mandate?

  • How do the frontrunners, national leaders, and international partners interact with each other? Who will lead DG FISMA and what would their appointment mean for the investment management industry?

  • What are their views and positions on the most pressing issues facing Europe and the world in 2024? How can asset managers communicate with and influence the EU's key decision-makers?
