David Reed
Senior Partner, Kreab
David is a Senior Partner in a global business consultancy – KREAB – with responsibility for the European Financing, Innovation and Transition Practice in Brussels, supporting clients from the financial, fintech, cleantech and digital sectors in particular.
David also founded KREAB’s European network of Financial Policy Advisers across 10 EU member states, plus the UK. He is a dual British/Belgian national and has worked in Brussels for 20 years, for the European Commission initially, and subsequently as a consultant on European and global affairs.
David previously worked as a Seconded National Expert in DG FISMA specialising on asset management regulation, and at the Financial Services Authority in the Chairman’s office working on international affairs and supporting the Asset Management Sector Team. He started his career in management consulting and private equity in London, working as a research analyst with McKinsey & Company and at placement agent and corporate finance advisory firm Campbell Lutyens.
David’s work in Brussels also involves directing the Secretariat of the European Parliamentary Financial Services Forum, he is the Co-President of the British Chamber of Commerce EU & Belgium, where he also Chairs the Bilateral Committee (for UK/Belgium trade and investment) and the Financial Services Committee. He is co-host of the Annual European Financial Service Conference – “Investment that Supports Society”.
