Jack Knight, Deputy Chief Executive, The Investment Association

As Deputy CEO, Jack helps Chris to lead the IA Executive Committee. He is responsible for international trade & investment policy and activity, as well as the organisation’s finance, HR, IT and membership functions, including the IA Enterprises events, training and Engine business lines.

Adrian Hood, Regulatory & Financial Crime Expert, The Investment Association 

Adrian Hood has been Regulatory Advisor at The IA, the trade association of the UK’s investment management industry, since 2006. He is also a Director on the JMLSG Board. His responsibilities include financial crime as well as market abuse, wholesale issues, FCA regulation, short selling regulation, operational risk, benchmark regulation, MiFID II and MAD II. 

Prior to joining the IA he has worked both in asset management compliance and with IMRO and the FSA. 

Rachel Ellison, Retail Fund Compliance Specialist, The Investment Association

Rachel joined the Investment Association in 2018, to work on the Policy, Strategy & Research team as a specialist in fund regulation. Her responsibilities include managing the Product Development & Regulations Committee and Fund Liquidity Management and Legacy Arrangements Working Groups and responding to FCA and European policy work. Prior to this, she spent 17 years working in fund and wealth management Compliance, most recently for Smith & Williamson and J O Hambro Investment Management (now Waverton Investment Management).

Alex Chow, Investment Operations Policy Lead, The Investment Association

Alex leads investment operations policy for the IA, notably covering post-trade for derivatives and physical securities as well as trade and transaction reporting. Workstreams in these areas include engagement and advocacy with regulators and collaborating with membership discussion forums and other market stakeholders to establish industry wide best practice and guidance.

Alex has 10 years’ experience in the industry having previously worked with BNY Mellon and Goldman Sachs.

Hugo Gordon, Senior Policy Adviser, The Investment Association

Hugo Gordon is a Senior Policy Adviser in The IA's Investments & Capital Markets team, having been with the IA since 2014. He covers capital markets issues for the IA, with a particular focus on fixed income, FX, ETFs and private markets, as well as trading issues across asset classes.

Andrew Ninian, Director, Stewardship and Corporate Governance, The Investment Association

Andrew is responsible for representing The Investment Association members interests as institutional investors on corporate governance and engagement matters. He has oversight of The Investment Association's Institutional Voting Information Service (IVIS), corporate governance policy development and company consultations or collective engagement with the companies in which Investment Association members invest. Andrew joined The Investment Association in June 2014, through merger of the Investment Affairs division of the ABI with the IMA. He joined the ABI in 2005 as a Corporate Governance Analyst and was promoted to Head of IVIS in October 2011 and Head of Corporate Governance in January 2012.  Before joining the ABI, Andrew was a Socially Responsible Investment analyst at HSBC, having joined HSBC's graduate scheme in 2001 after reading Economics at the University of Bath.

James King, Senior Policy Adviser, The Investment Association 

James King is the Senior Policy Adviser at the Investment Association responsible for operational resilience, cyber resilience and technology.
