SPEAKERS

Miranda Seath, Director of Market Insight & Fund Sectors, The Investment Association
Miranda leads the team analysing data and trends in UK investment management, producing evidence-based insight to support the IA’s policy agenda. The division provides insight to members and external stakeholders through the Investment Management Survey, retail funds market commentary and investor research. Miranda is also responsible for the IA Sectors, the fund classification scheme designed to help UK investors navigate the retail fund universe.

Miranda joined the IA in May 2019. Before joining, she was Research Director at Platforum and NextWealth, research and consulting firms focused on retail investment distribution.

Sarah Shehabi, Market Insight Manager, The Investment Association
Sarah is a member of the Market Insight & Fund Sectors division, delivering research and analysis to support the IA’s policy agenda. She leads on a number of the IA’s flagship reports including the Investment Management Survey and the Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Survey, and also provides support on the IA’s investor research projects. Sarah has also provided analysis in a number of policy areas including sustainable investment, costs & charges and fund liquidity.

Hassan Ali, Research Analyst, The Investment Association
Hassan is a Research Analyst at the Investment Association (IA), a trade body representing UK investment managers. In his role, he is responsible for analysing and presenting market trends in investment management, drawing on data from the IA, the wider industry, and macroeconomic sources. His work involves regular engagement with IA member firms and other industry stakeholders to provide insights into key developments in the sector.

Before joining the IA, Hassan spent two years as part of the investment management team at AJ Bell, a UK-based investment platform and manager. He earned a first-class BA (Hons) degree in Economics, Finance, and Banking, followed by an MSc in Finance and Investment. In addition, he holds the CFA UK Investment Management Certificate (IMC) and is currently studying for Level 2 of the CFA Program.
