Julia Streets, Founder & CEO, Streets Consulting
Julia Streets is a champion of fintech and cyber innovation, equality, diversity and inclusion.
In 2007, she incorporated her business Streets Consulting, the business development, marketing and communications consultancy.
Since then she and her team have advised awide range of international firms in the field of fintech, capital markets and payments innovation, and offering specialist technology including blockchain, artificial intelligence, cyber security and more. Prior to founding Streets Consulting in 2008, Julia was global head of communications at NYSE Technologies, serving on the Executive Committee, and European head of marketing and sales development at Instinet.
Julia is a proud mentor of The Investment Association's fintech cohort 'The Engine', Accenture's Fintech Lab and has also served as a mentor at CyLon.
In 2017 Julia launched a podcast series ‘DiverCity Podcast’, talking about diversity and inclusion in financial services. Chris Cummings, Chief Executive, The Investment Association
Chris Cummings is the Chief Executive of The Investment Association, a post he has held since September 2016. The Investment Association is the trade body that represents UK-based investment managers.
He is a member of HM Treasury’s Asset Management Taskforce, and was a founding member of its Financial Services Trade & Investment Board. He serves on the Chancellor’s Financial Services Industry Advisory Group and Department for International Trade’s Financial Services Trade Advisory Group. He is a Board member on EFAMA, the European trade association for investment management and is a member of the Regulation Committee of IIFA, the international association for investment management.
He was previously a member of the Financial Conduct Authority’s Regulatory Decisions Committee, a Settlement Decision Maker for the Payment Services Regulator. He served on the Foreign & Commonwealth’s Diplomatic Excellence Panel.
Before joining The Investment Association he was the founding CEO of TheCityUK, held senior posts in banking, insurance and consulting with major global firms. He is a regular columnist, commentator and speaker on issues of international competitiveness and regulation in financial services.

Chris Philp, MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State (Minister for Tech and the Digital Economy)
Chris Philp was appointed Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport on 17 September 2021.
He was previously Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Home Office and Ministry of Justice from 13 February 2020 to 16 September 2021. Before that, he was Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Ministry of Justice from 10 September 2019 to 18 December 2019 and Minister for London at the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government from 18 December 2019 to 13 February 2020.

Philip Reed, General Counsel, Independent Franchise Partners
Philip joined Independent Franchise Partners, LLP as General Counsel in June 2015. His role covers the full spectrum of legal issues facing a specialist, institutional-only, equities manager. Before then he was General Counsel at Threadneedle Investments, a role in which he gave strategic legal advice to the Board and managed the Legal, Compliance and Company Secretarial functions. He advised on all areas including product design, regulatory issues, transactions, crisis management and corporate governance.

Nejoud Al Mulaik, Director, FinTech Saudi
Fintech and SME Director for emerging sectors. 14-year veteran of strategic financial services innovation, including 10 years in corporate investment banking.
Led the launch and roll-out of Fintech Saudi; participated in founding this government national initiative to build Saudi Arabia’s new Fintech emerging sector and infrastructure. Facilitated expansion of innovation and opportunities for Saudi Entrepreneurs. Attracted domestic and international stakeholders and partners.
Publicly representing Fintech Saudi in local and international conferences and across global media. Sadiq Hamour, Director of Financial Institutions, Qatar Financial Centre
Sadiq Hamour is the Director of Financial Institutions, Financial Sector Office at the QFC Authority, where he is responsible for delivering on QFC's mission of attracting financial and regulated businesses to Qatar through the QFC platform, in line with the Second Financial Strategy and Qatar National Vision 2030.
Sadiq joined the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) in 2014 as Associate Director for Sales and New Business. He was then promoted to Director of Business Development where he leads a department responsible for defining strategies to promote Qatar and the QFC to local and international firms. In his current capacity, Sadiq plays a key role in helping to grow the QFC business community, support new market entrants and identify potential markets.

Mr Shadab Taiyabi, Head of Fintech and Innovation, Schroders
Shadab is the APAC Head of Fintech and Innovation at Schroders, where he leads Schroders' collaboration with FinTech players and spearheads innovation initiatives in the APAC region.
He sits on the Digital Innovation Committee (DIC) of the Investment Management Association of Singapore (IMAS). IMAS is the national industry association representing the investment management ecosystem in Singapore. DIC advocates and promotes the adoption of digital technology and innovation within the asset management industry.
Shadab has over 16 years of experience working in the financial services industry with over 14 years at FinTech companies. He has a strong track record of growing businesses in the fintech space.

Sally Wong, CEO, Hong Kong Investment Funds Association
Sally Wong is the Chief Executive Officer of the Hong Kong Investment Funds Association, which is a non-profit-making organization that represents the asset management industry in Hong Kong. She represents the industry in liaising with the authorities, legislators, media and other stakeholder groups to discuss issues that have implications to the Hong Kong mutual fund market and the Mandatory Provident Fund (“MPF”) Schemes market. She also takes an active role in investor education and research initiatives.
Mrs. Wong is a member of the 8th Steering Committee on ChinaBond Indices Experts of the China Central Depository and Clearing Co., Ltd. and a core member of the China Ageing Finance Forum 50. She is a Vice President of Hong Kong Green Finance Association (“HKGFA”) and is the co-chair of ESG Disclosure and Integration Working Group under HKGFA. She sits on the SFC Committee on Real Estate Investment Trusts, the SFC Public Shareholders Group, MPF Guidelines Committee. She sits on the Board of the International Investment Funds Association (www.iifa.ca). She was a member of the Hang Seng Index Advisory Committee.

Ali Hassan, Senior Representative Europe & North America, Dubai International Financial Centre
Ali Hassan is a Senior Representative for the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Authority in Europe and North America and Director of Business Development for the Centre.
In his current role, Mr. Hassan supports the CEO in developing and promoting the Insurance, Banks & Capital Markets, and Wealth Management sectors, in line with the Centre’s business strategies and plays an active role in managing client development. He is also responsible for promoting and spreading awareness of DIFC’s competitiveness and positioning regionally and globally.
Mr. Hassan brings vast regulatory knowledge and commercial experience to his position at DIFC Authority, having supervised and authorized a diverse range of businesses including exchanges, trading platforms, wealth management, investment banking, and brokerage operations with experience in the UK, Europe and the Middle East.

Gabrielle Inzirillo, Head of Market Development, Financial Technology & Innovation, Abu Dhabi Global Markets
Gabrielle joined the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) of Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) in February 2021. As Head of Market Development in the Financial Technology & Innovation unit, she drives the relationship between financial institutions, venture capital firms and fintech startups, along with contributing to the FSRA’s fintech strategy. Her expertise includes the implementation of new technologies and business models within financial institutions.
Prior to ADGM, Gabrielle oversaw venture capital firm, Plug And Play’s fintech activities in EMEA, driving seed stage investments in European and MENA based startups, executed on the open innovation process at Citi, and built financial models at Bloomberg.
Gabrielle is a frequent speaker at leading conferences (e.g. Financial Times Live, Money2020, Finovate), has authored a number of whitepapers and articles on innovation in the financial industry (e.g. Forbes ME) and was featured in Innovate Finance's Women In Fintech Powerlist in 2017, 2018, 2019 and Lattice80's 100 Women in Fintech in 2018 & 2019. Gabrielle is an economist by training and holds an MPhil in Technology Policy from the University of Cambridge.

Naomi Takegoshi, Senior Manager, JIAM
Naomi Takegoshi joined JIAM in May 2019 and FinCity.Tokyo in October 2019 after her career at the British Embassy in Tokyo spanning over 20 years in supporting UK companies develop their business in Japan in a wide range of industries (consumer goods, financial services, business services, tech etc) with an aspiration to bring her experiences to contribute to the internationalisation of Tokyo. In her work to promote UK financial services and fintech in Japan, she built an extensive network of contacts both in Japan and in the UK. Prior to her career at the UK Embassy, she worked as Researcher for the think tank division of MKI (Mitsui Knowledge Industry).   

Alderman & Sheriff Nicholas Lyons, Sheriff of the City of London 2021-22
Alderman Nicholas Lyons took office as one of the Sheriffs of the City of London on 28 September 2021. Nicholas was born in Ireland, the son of Dr FSL Lyons, the Irish historian and Provost of Trinity College, Dublin. When his parents moved to Kent Univ ersity in 1964, he went to school in Canterbury, attending the King’s School as a King’s Scholar before going to Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge, where he read history and won a Senior Exhibition.

Gillian Painter, Head of Membership and Engine, The Investment Association
As Head of Membership and Engine, Gillian is a senior member of the IA Enterprises management team. Engine is the IA’s Innovation hub and FinTech accelerator. Since its launch in October 2019, Gillian has managed the growth of Engine which now encompasses an ecosystem of over 130 firms, innovator programmes, as well as a regional co-working hub in Birmingham and an international programme. Engine is focused on innovation and transformation for the investment management and wealth sectors providing an extensive programme of thought leadership, resources and connectivity. Gillian has a strong experience in technology having worked in technical and operational roles for global IT and telecom firms.

Richard Rouse, Director, Expand Research
Richard has led Expand Research’s Asset and Wealth Management practice throughout EMEA for the last 6 years, and supports the strategic decisions of COOs and their teams through granular data led diagnostics and market insights across Technology, Operations and Market Data. He is the Chairman of Expand’s quarterly COO Forum and has over 20 years’ experience facilitating and enabling improved performance and ‘change’ across a wide range of organisations.

Sam has held senior impact investing advisory positions with B Lab, UN PRI, the IFC, and the Impact Management Project. Sam is Australian, started her career at Goldman Sachs, and is a graduate of the University of Queensland and the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in Washington, DC.

Curtis Evans, Managing Director, EMEA, Jacobi 
Curtis has over 20 years of industry experience having spent the majority of his career in asset management, specialising in fixed income and asset allocation. He was previously a senior executive at Fidelity International and also spent time at Pioneer Investments (now Amundi), TD Securities and Queensland Treasury Corporation. Curtis joined Jacobi in 2019 to grow the investment technology's foothold in Europe, leveraging extensive experience in asset allocation, investment management and institutional client engagement. He graduated with a double degree from the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia.

Mark Davies, General Manager, ESGi
Mark is General Manager of ESGi, an innovative technology solution to help simplify ESG disclosure and reporting for the Investment Industry. His career highlights include over 15 years managing data and risk functions for three tier 1 banks. This was followed by 6 years as the General Manager of Avox, a managed service data company owned by DTCC and later by Thomson Reuters. Mark has been a partner with Element22 since 2018 where he leads the London office and helps clients from across the financial services industry to modernise and expand their capabilities in Data Management with an increasing focus on ESG readiness.

Paul Norris, Acin
Accomplished senior manager and leader with more than 21 years’ international experience working in Zurich, London and Chicago. Paul has a wealth of experience in Asset Management driving the efficient operations of investment functions, ranging from front office governance, risks and controls, process and platform change to the strategic and cultural themes that are defining the industry. Currently he is leading the build out of Asset Management and Climate Risk management solutions at Acin, an award-winning risk and control network intelligence platform used by top-tier investment and retail banks.

Ravi Bhalla, Head of Department for Innovation, FCA
He provides leadership across six key functions across his department. This includes the FCA’s Innovation Hub which houses a number of market innovation services Including Innovation Pathways, Regulatory Sandbox and the Digital Sandbox. Secondly, a digital and data services function which aims to leverage a digital test environment for internal and external use cases. Thirdly, a regulator engagement function with domestic and international regulators through bilateral and multilateral agreements. This includes chairing the Global Financial Innovation Network (GFIN) and championing the Global Sandbox. Fourth, the RegTech and SupTech function which encourages the development of new technologies to solve regulatory challenges for firms and supervisory organisations. Fifth, an emerging technology function which researches emerging trends which influence the intersection of data, technology and financial services. And finally, a change and development function which aims to drive our internal and external change agenda including branding, marketing and Communications He is a high- impact enterprise-level senior leader with over 17 years of management experience across telecoms, insurance and financial services in both industry (BT, AIG, Barclays, HSBC and Lloyds Banking Group) and consulting (KPMG). Ravi was previously Head of Group Design, Strategy & Transformation for Lloyds Banking Group where he led an in-house strategy and transformation consulting function at Lloyds Banking Group. This has included shaping strategic initiatives such as customer vulnerability, architectural simplification, advanced analytics, cloud operating model design, regulatory change design and operational resilience. During his time at KPMG, Ravi worked with a number of challenger banks and FinTechs and played a pivotal role in establishing KPMG’s FinTech practice. Ravi has received a number of awards, including the Barclays Gold Experience Award, the Lloyds Banking Group Leadership: Inspire Delivery Award and the Lloyds Banking Group Leadership: Inspire Collaboration Award. He was selected for the Lloyds Banking Group executive leadership talent programme, which is for colleagues who demonstrate the attributes and potential to attain an executive-level position. Ravi holds a BSc (Hons) in Business Management from the University of East Anglia and an MA in Management, Economics and International Relations from the University of St. Andrews. Ravi has published a number of articles in internationally peer reviewed journals, including most recently a co-authored paper with University of Cambridge, Judge Business School Fellow, Elisabetta Osta entitled ‘Digital Transformation and the Covid challenge, (March 2021) Journal of Digital Banking as well as individual publications ‘FinTech Innovation: Revolutionary or Evolutionary Business Model Disruption?’ (2019), Journal of Digital Banking; ‘The 12 Point Customer Engagement Model’ (2013), Journal of Brand Strategy; ‘Omnichannel: Driving Engagement through Digitization’ (2014), Journal of Digital Banking.

Chandini Jain, CEO and Co-founder, Auquan
Chandini Jain is the CEO/founder of Auquan, Auquan is a london based fintech using NLP and AI to distill relevant and impactful information from unstructured text. Prior to Auquan, Chandini worked as a derivatives trader at Optiver in Chicago/Amsterdam and Deutsche Bank. At Auquan, Chandini oversee the development of our machine learning strategies.

Julie Chakraverty, CEO, Rungway
Julie Chakraverty is the founder and CEO of Rungway, the employee engagement platform helping global organisations foster the most inclusive and supportive cultures. Julie is also an experienced non-executive director: she is the Workforce Engagement Director of the global cyber technology firm NCC Group, and has previously served on boards including Standard Life Aberdeen, Santander UK, Mitsui Amlin and Spirit Pubs, which was acquired by Green King. Julie built her career in investment banking where she launched a FinTech portfolio management platform called CreditDelta which won multiple innovation awards.

Vicky Sanders, CCO, Liquidnet
Vicky is the Chief Commercial Officer for TP ICAP Group’s Agency Execution division. In her role, she is responsible for overseeing the commercial strategy of the Liquidnet and Coex Partners Agency Execution businesses, helping to define, develop and implement the go-to-market strategy.
Vicky co-founded RSRCHXchange in 2014 as an aggregator and marketplace for institutional research, a disruptive market-focused technology company. In 2019, RSRCHXchange was acquired by Liquidnet and in March 2021 Liquidnet was acquired by TP ICAP Group. Vicky was named to the FN100 Most Influential Women in European Finance in 2019.
Prior to setting up RSRCHXchange in 2014, Vicky was an Executive Director at Goldman Sachs in the Equity Sales division. She began her career at Merrill Lynch in London, where she worked in Global and European equity sales. Originally from Boston, Vicky graduated cum laude from Harvard University in 2005, with a degree in economics.

Giles French, External Affairs Director, Innovation and Growth, City of London Corporation
Giles French is the External Affairs Director in the Innovation & Growth Department at the City of London Corporation, the team that supports and promotes UK based financial and professional services. He leads on developing strategic relationships with businesses, regulators, and policy makers, on a wide range of public policy issues in the UK, Europe and internationally. He leads the Technology team working in partnership with the FCA on this year’s Digital Sandbox initiative developing solutions on ESG data and disclosure. In addition, he engages with priority markets around the world to promote trade and investment flows with the UK financial and professional services sector. During the pandemic he chaired the City Corporation’s Business Engagement Group and led the project team that produced London Recharged, a roadmap on the future competitiveness of the City of London. He is a Board Observer to Innovate Finance and the Financial Services Skills Commission, and a Trustee of the charity Heart of the City.

Darshita Gillies, Founder & CEO, Maanch
Listed among 2021 ESG & Diversity Trailblazer - Modern Governance 100 by Diligent, 100 Most Meaningful Business Leader 2020 and 100 Most Influential in UK-India Relations, Darshita is Founder & CEO of Maanch - a multi-award winning global impact management systems for investors, corporates and the philanthropy ecosystem. Launched in 2018, Maanch works with 700+ partners across 30+ countries to achieve the UN-SDGs.
A Chartered Accountant, Investment Banker, Executive Coach and FinTech-Blockchain Specialist, ESG & Impact Evangelist, Darshita serves on the Boards of a few For-Profit and Non-Profit organisations. She is known for her inclusive leadership, and innovative approach to solving systemic challenges.
Darshita credits her accomplishments to the resilience built into her character through her humble upbringing in India. As global citizen based in London, she spearheads endeavours that converge finance and technology to deliver planetary wellbeing and prosperity

Natalie Pullin, Sustainability Specialist, Microsoft
Natalie is a sustainability specialist, working in the cross-industry solutions team at Microsoft. She helps customers digitise their sustainability strategies to accelerate outcomes. She has research experience within the fields of Climate finance and Natural Capital and prior to Microsoft, worked in sustainability communications. She brings a breadth of experience ensuring that sustainability initiatives drive new business models, reduce risk, and open up new opportunities - helping to future proof businesses.

Dr Christopher Mellor, CFA
Chris leads the EMEA ETF equity and commodity product management team at Invesco, responsible for providing support and analysis for Invesco ETPs. Before joining Invesco he worked as an investment strategist, focusing on market timing and tactical allocation across regions, sectors and styles. Chris holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Inorganic Chemistry from Balliol College, Oxford. He is also a charterholder of the CFA Institute.

Miranda joined the IA in May 2019 as Head of Market Insight and oversees the Research, Statistics and Sectors teams. As part of her role, she works with the Research and Statistics team to provide analysis of data and trends in UK investment management to IA Members and external stakeholders. She is also actively involved in IA Sectors, the fund classification scheme designed to help investors navigate the retail fund universe.
Miranda was Research Director successively at Platforum and NextWealth, both of which are research and consulting firms focused on analysing the distribution of retail investments. Her areas of expertise included: UK fund distribution, the advice and discretionary investment management markets, UK investment platforms and the post-retirement market. She has been a regular press commentator and speaker on retail investment distribution trends.

Janine Hirt, CEO, Innovate Finance
Janine Hirt is the CEO of Innovate Finance (IF), the industry body representing the world-leading UK FinTech sector. Having joined the founding IF leadership team in 2015 first as Head of Membership then Ecosystem Director, she moved into the COO role in 2017 before stepping up to lead the organisation in 2021. Janine is passionate about driving transformation to create a more democratic, transparent and inclusive financial services sector for all. Her professional career has been marked by roles that sit at the intersection of policy, international relations, and industry, including senior positions at Chatham House, (the Royal Institution of International Affairs) and the Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce.
Janine received her BA Magna Cum Laude from Boston College, JYA at Oxford University, and her MSc from the London School of Economics. Janine is an American, British, Swiss and German national who calls London and NYC home.

Imtiaz Adam MSc, MBA, LLB, Deep Learn Strategies (DLS) Ltd, Founder and Director
Imtiaz possesses an MSc Computer Science (Distinction) from the University of London, where he undertook research in AI and Deep Neural Networks for financial portfolio management.
Furthermore, Imtiaz studied at London Business School where he was awarded Sloan Fellowship in Strategy and attended Columbia Business School as an Executive MBA Exchange Elective with LBS.
He served as an Executive Director of Morgan Stanley (8 years) as the Founder and Global Head of the Carbon Trading and Climate Finance business.
Imtiaz is ranked as leading influencer in AI and Digital Technology and has spoken at events around the world including the WEF during Davos and has authored articles on AI that are published in many leading journals in the sector.

 

Mark Jackson, Quantum Evangelist, Cambridge Quantum Computing
Dr. Mark Jackson is the Quantum Evangelist at Quantinuum. He received his Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from Columbia University. He then spent 10 years researching superstring theory and cosmology, co-authoring almost 40 technical articles. To promote the public understanding of science, he founded the science crowdfunding platform Fiat Physica and non-profit Science Partnership Fund. He is Adjunct Faculty at Singularity University and a Director of Astronomers Without Borders.
