Daisy McAndrew, Broadcaster, Presenter and Journalist
The former Economics Editor and Chief Political Correspondent of ITV News, Daisy McAndrew's knowledgeable analysis of finance and economics makes her a respected and popular corporate host. Now a freelance presenter and media trainer, she regularly reviews papers for Sky News, BBC News, and This Morning. Daisy is the Royal Correspondent in London for the US channels NBC and MSNBC.
Chris Cummings, Chief Executive, The Investment Association
Chris Cummings is the Chief Executive of The Investment Association, a post he has held since September 2016. The Investment Association is the trade body that represents UK-based investment managers.
He is a member of HM Treasury’s Asset Management Taskforce, and was a founding member of its Financial Services Trade & Investment Board. He serves on the Chancellor’s Financial Services Industry Advisory Group and Department for International Trade’s Financial Services Trade Advisory Group. He is a Board member on EFAMA, the European trade association for investment management and is a member of the Regulation Committee of IIFA, the international association for investment management. He is also a Trustee of Just Finance Foundation.
He was previously a member of the Financial Conduct Authority’s Regulatory Decisions Committee, a Settlement Decision Maker for the Payment Services Regulator. He served on the Foreign & Commonwealth’s Diplomatic Excellence Panel.
Before joining The Investment Association he was the founding CEO of TheCityUK, held senior posts in banking, insurance and consulting with major global firms. He is a regular columnist, commentator and speaker on issues of international competitiveness and regulation in financial services.
Keith Skeoch, Chairman, The Investment Association
Keith Skeoch is currently Chair of the Investment Association and Chair of the Edinburgh International Festival. He is also a member of the UK Takeover Panel , a Trustee of the abrdn Financial Fairness Trust and Chair of the University of Sussex Business School Advisory Board.
Keith was previously Chair of the Ring Fence and Proprietary Trading Review. The final report was laid in Parliament by HM Treasury in February 2022.
Keith joined Standard Life Investments (SLI) in 1999 as Chief Investment Officer and was appointed Chief Executive of that division in 2004 and to the main board of Standard Life plc following demutualisation in 2006. Keith led the exponential growth of SLI in terms of assets under management, geographic footprint, revenue stream, organisational capability and brand strength. He was appointed CEO of Standard Life plc in 2015 and then as CEO of Standard Life Aberdeen (SLA) having led the separation of the life business to Phoenix in 2018 and the subsequent formation of a global, focussed and capital light investment house. Keith stepped down as CEO of SLA in September 2020.
Miranda Seath, Head of Market Insight, The Investment Association
Miranda joined the IA in May 2019 as Head of Market Insight, overseeing the Research, Statistics and Sectors teams that form the IA’s Market Insight Group. As part of her role, she works with her teams to provide analysis of data and trends in the investment management industry to IA Members and external stakeholders. She is also actively involved in IA Sectors, the fund classification scheme designed to help investors navigate the retail fund universe.
Miranda was Research Director successively at Platforum and NextWealth, both of which are research and consulting firms focused on analysing the distribution of retail investments. Her areas of expertise included: UK fund distribution, the advice and discretionary investment management markets, UK investment platforms and the post-retirement market. She has been a regular press commentator and speaker on retail investment distribution trends.
Caroline Connellan, CEO, Personal Wealth, abrdn
Caroline is the CEO of abrdn’s Personal Wealth business, with proven experience in personal wealth management, building exceptional businesses both organically and through acquisitions, and creating compelling and innovative solutions to meet client needs. Caroline was previously CEO of Brooks Macdonald Group plc and held Executive level roles HSBC and Standard Life. She gained significant experience in the wealth and asset management sector as a consultant at McKinsey and started her career as a Private Client Fund Manager with Newton Investment Management in London.
Caroline was a member of the Investment Association Board from 2018-2021, and a member of the UK Government’s Asset Management Taskforce from 2019-2021.
Christopher Hill, Chief Executive Officer, Hargreaves Lansdown
Chris has led Hargreaves Lansdown since 2017. As CEO, he has driven the digital transformation of the business, including setting the strategy to expand HL’s position as the UK’s leading digital wealth management platform. Ensuring HL is at the heart of creating a stronger culture of saving and investing with confidence remains essential, and this continued ambition has been reinforced by the launch of the Savings and Resilience Barometer which provides unique insight and creates a valuable dataset for policymakers. He joined HL with a track record of financial and operational execution with more than two decades of experience, across a range of business sectors. He was Chief Financial Officer at IG Group Holdings plc, a FTSE 250 online trading platform for retail customers, and was Chief Financial Officer at Travelex following a number of finance leadership roles at GE Capital. Chris qualified as a Chartered Accountant at Arthur Andersen and is an associate member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers. Outside HL, he is actively engaged in debates about financial policy including as a member of the Board of the Investment Association and of the FCA Practitioner Panel.
Sarah Pritchard, Executive Director of Markets, Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)
Sarah is responsible for the delivery of the FCA’s statutory market integrity objective in the combined Supervision, Policy and Competition division which she co-leads with Sheldon Mills. Sarah's previous roles include Director at the National Economic Crime Centre, General Counsel/Legal Director for the National Crime Agency and lead for the NCA’s transformational people programme. Her career has involved stints in investigative, operational and legal roles in a range of government departments and the private sector. She has led global financial crime compliance and reputational risk teams at HSBC and qualified as a commercial litigator with Dechert LLP.
Jonathan Reynolds, Shadow Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy of the UK
Jonathan Reynolds is the Shadow Secretary of State for Business and Industrial Strategy, shaping the party’s vision for the future of the corporate sector. He has previously served as Shadow City Minister, and Shadow Work and Pensions Secretary.
Karis Stander, Managing Director, Investment20/20
Karis leads the Investment20/20 team and is an executive director of the Investment Association. She joined Investment20/20 in 2014 shortly after it started and under her leadership it has developed into a multi award winning organisation driving inclusive and responsible recruitment with young people from all backgrounds. Prior to Investment20/20 Karis specialised in entry talent and learning and development within financial services.

Nicholas Omale, Responsible Investment Analyst, Quilter Cheviot Ltd.
Nicholas is a Responsible Investment Analyst at Quilter Cheviot. Prior to joining Quilter Cheviot, he completed the Investment Trainee programme at BNP Paribas Asset Management. He is an ambassador for Investment 2020. Nicholas’ quantitative approach to responsible investment brings a new skillset to the team and has enabled the building of new data tools. Nicholas has an MSc, International Financial Management from Queen Mary University of London and a first-class BSc Business and Economics degree from University of Roehampton. He has completed the CFA ESG qualification.
Darrell Sharpe, EMD Junior Sovereign Analyst, Aviva Investors
Darrell entered the asset management industry after graduating from Nottingham Trent University as a mature student. Struggling to secure a roll in the industry through traditional graduate schemes he eventually came across Investment 2020 and ultimately joined Aviva Investors in 2018 as part of the partnership scheme. Upon completing his year-long traineeship he remained in the Mandate Monitoring team for another two years before moving onto the EMD desk where he is now a Junior Sovereign Analyst.
Nicole Vale, Associate, J.P. Morgan Asset Management
Nicole Vale, Associate, is a Client Advisor for the UK Institutional Business at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, based in London. Previously Sales Support on the UK team for 3 years and prior to this an Analyst in the KYC/AML team focusing on Institutional clients. An employee since September 2016, she joined J.P. Morgan Asset Management as a trainee on the Investment 20/20 programme. Nicole holds both the Investment Operations Certificate (IOC) and the Investment Management Certificate (IMC).
Christopher Woolard CBE, Partner, EY
Christopher Woolard CBE has had a 25 year career in public service before joining EY in April 2021. He joined the Financial Conduct Authority in 2013 and served as Executive Director of Strategy and Competition, a member of the FCA’s board and latterly as interim Chief Executive in 2020. He founded FCA’s ‘Project Innovate,’ designed to encourage innovation in the financial services market and the FCA regulatory sandbox.
He was also a member of the Bank of England’s Prudential Regulation Committee and the Financial Policy Committee. He was the first chair of IOSCO’s Fintech Forum and a member of the FSB’s strategic risk committee.
Before joining the FCA, Chris held senior roles at Ofcom, the BBC and in the UK Government. Chris was awarded a CBE by HM the Queen in 2021 for services to financial regulation and fintech. He is also a freeman of the City of London.

Andrew Ninian, Director, Stewardship and Corporate Governance, The Investment Association
Andrew represents the IA’s members’ interests on all stewardship and corporate governance matters. He also oversees the IA’s corporate governance and voting research service, the Institutional Voting Information Service (IVIS). Andrew is also a member of the FTSE Russell Policy Advisory Board and the Hampton Alexander Review Advisory Group. Before joining the IA, Andrew worked at the ABI (Association of British Insurers) for ten years, where he was Head of Corporate Governance.
Paras Anand, Chief Investment Officer, Artemis Investment Management
Paras held a number of fund management roles in London and New York before becoming Head of European Equities at F&C Investments. He then joined Fidelity in 2012 as Chief Investment Officer (CIO) for European equities; before moving to Singapore in 2018 to become CIO for all asset classes and functions across the Asia-Pacific region. He was also a member of Fidelity International’s Global Operating Committee. He led the group’s strategy on sustainability and was global sponsor for cultural diversity. Paras joined Artemis as CIO in 2022. He is a partner in Artemis Investment Management LLP, a member of Artemis’ Executive Committee and a director of Artemis Fund Managers Limited.
Stephanie Butcher, Chief Investment Officer and European Equity Fund Manager, Invesco
Stephanie brings more than 25 years’ investment experience to the CIO role. Stephanie began her investment career at Lazard Asset Management as a graduate trainee and progressed to become a US fund manager before joining Aberdeen Asset Management in 1997. Stephanie joined Invesco in Henley in 2003, where she specialised in European equity income investing and was responsible for a number of European equity portfolios. She took on the role as CIO of the Henley Investment Centre in January 2020.
Stephanie holds an MA (Cantab) in History from Cambridge University. Stephanie also holds the AIIMR designation from the Association for Investment Management and Research (now known as the CFA Institute). Stephanie is a member of the IA Investment Committee.
Sonja Laud, Chief Investment Officer, Legal & General Investment Management
Sonja Laud is Chief Investment Officer (CIO) at Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) and a member of its Executive Team. She leads the firm’s entire Investment and Trading teams, setting the firms Investment strategy, with a focus on leading LGIM’s responsible investment efforts.
Sonja joined LGIM in 2019 from Fidelity International where she was Head of Equity. Prior to that she worked at Barings where she launched and managed global multi-asset portfolios.
Prior to that, she worked for Schroders where she managed, for eight successful years, several global, European and UK equity funds, with a focus on high-dividend stocks. Sonja started her career at DWS in Frankfurt, where she was an award-winning global equities portfolio manager.
Sonja has completed a Global Executive MBA program at TRIUM (LSE, NYUStern, HEC) and has MSc, EMIM from ESCP Europe. She is a CFA Charter holder. She is a regular media commentator, appearing across broadcast including the BBC, Sky News, Bloomberg and CNBC.
Adam Lyons, Head of the Green Finance Unit, HM Treasury
Adam Lyons is Head of Green Finance in HM Treasury. His team oversees financial services policy and regulation relating to climate change, the environment and broader ESG factors. This includes work on sustainability disclosures, transition plans, TCFD, the UK Green Taxonomy, and the forthcoming Green Finance Strategy.

Michelle Moran, Partner, K&L Gates
Michelle Moran is a Practice Group Coordinator of the Asset Management group.
Ms. Moran advises clients on the establishment, authorisation and management of retail and institutional investment funds in the UK, Ireland, Luxembourg and Jersey. These include UCITS, hedge funds, private funds, investment trusts, real estate funds, segregated institutional portfolios and exchange traded funds. She has worked on a wide variety of transactions involving investment managers, brokers, custodians, fund service providers and operating platforms.
Ms. Moran’s extensive regulatory experience includes having participated on the EU Commission working groups representing numerous financial institutions on sensitive issues involving UK and EU regulators.
Michelle Bereaux, Chief Operating Officer, UBS Asset Management
Michelle Bereaux was appointed Chief Operating Officer for UBS Asset Management in April 2020. In addition to her role as COO AM, Michelle was appointed to Country Head AM UK on 1 December 2021. Michelle also assumes Senior Management Function (SMF) responsibilities as CEO of AM UK*.
Prior to this, Michelle was Head of Group Efficiency and Cost Management for UBS Group. Michelle previously held senior management positions within UBS Investment Bank (IB), including Global Head of Human Resources, Chief of Staff to the IB Co-CEOs and Joint COO and Global COO for the IB's Investment Banking Department.
Michelle started her career at UBS in 1992 as a lawyer in the Legal Department in London.

Stephen Cohen, Head of Europe, Middle East and Africa, BlackRock
Stephen Cohen, Senior Managing Director, is the Head of Europe, Middle East and Africa region for BlackRock.
Before this role, he was Head of the iShares, Index and Wealth businesses in EMEA. He led BlackRock's relationships with wealth management firms and platforms, the development and distribution of active and index investments, and the firm's equity index portfolio management capability in the region. Mr. Cohen previously served as Global Head of Fixed Income Indexing for BlackRock. Prior to that, he was the Chief Investment Strategist for International Fixed Income and iShares. Mr. Cohen joined BlackRock in 2011 from Nomura, where he was Global Head of Equity Linked Strategy, and led the #1 Institutional Investor ranked Convertibles research team. He started his career in fixed income at UBS in 1996.
Kirstie MacGillivray, CEO, Aegon Asset Management
Kirstie MacGillivray is Head of Investment Dealing at Aegon Asset Management, leading the UK trading team and chairing a Front Office Governance Committee. Prior to her current role, Kirstie worked for Barrie & Hibbert where she advised companies on risk management of derivatives. Prior to that, she was a partner in BCS Asset Management, a global macro hedge fund. Previously she worked for 7 years in equity derivatives sales, initially for Morgan Stanley, and, latterly, for UBS Investment Bank. She started her career at Abbey National Asset Managers as a member of the investment strategy unit. She has been in the industry since 1995 and started with the firm in 2008. Kirstie studied Commercial Law & taxation at Glasgow University.
Patrick Thomson, CEO Europe, Middle East & Africa, J.P. Morgan Asset Management
Patrick Thomson is Chief Executive Officer for EMEA, J.P. Morgan Asset Management based in London. He is Deputy Chair of the Board of the Investment Association, representing UK’s investment management industry, and a Member of the UK Government’s Treasury Task Force. Patrick joined J.P. Morgan Asset Management in 1995 and worked in Singapore 2000-2005 as global head of sovereigns, with extensive experience in reserves management in Asia and the Middle East, and has worked with many of the largest asset owners in the world.
After graduating from Edinburgh University with an MA (Hons), Patrick served as an officer in the British Army for five years, and is co-chair of the EMEA VETS group at JP Morgan. He qualified as a member of the UK Society of Investment Professionals in 2000.
