The importance of equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) in early talent has been recognised for several years. As a sector, we have exceptional examples of what works. This event focusses on approaches to embedding EDI into talent attraction, recruitment, and retention in early careers.
Delegates will hear from Youth Futures Foundation and the Institute of Apprenticeships and Technical Education, along with recruiters and line managers on their approach to achieving EDI in early talent recruitment.

Karis Stander, IA Director, Culture, Talent & Inclusion, MD, Investment20/20
Karis leads the Investment20/20 team and is an executive director of the Investment Association. She joined Investment20/20 in 2014 shortly after it started and under her leadership it has developed into a multi award winning organisation driving inclusive and responsible recruitment with young people from all backgrounds. Prior to Investment20/20 Karis specialised in entry talent and learning and development within financial services.
Barry Fletcher, CEO, Youth Futures Foundation
Barry joined Youth Futures Foundation, the What Works centre for youth employment, as CEO in January 2023. Barry’s career has been dedicated to supporting people into work and helping young people fulfil their potential. Prior to joining Youth Futures Foundation Barry spent 3 years as CEO at Career Connect a youth focused Charity based in the North West. He began his career at Ingeus, spending 15 years at this large, health, youth, employment and skills provider, with his final role leading the UK business as Managing Director.
Barry is passionate about increasing social mobility and supporting the most marginalised in society. This is reflected in the non-executive roles he has previously undertaken including serving on the Board of Youth Employment UK, ERSA, Careers England, and Chair of The Way Youth Zone, part of the Onside network.
Becky Handy, HR Advisor, J O Hambro Capital Management
Becky has been with J O Hambro Capital Management for the last four years, working in a team of generalist practitioners.
Prior to J O Hambro, Becky worked as an Office/HR Assistant for a small consultancy firm in Farringdon.
Becky is CIPD qualified and holds a degree in Accounting and Management.
Serena Vaughn, Early Careers Attraction, Diversity, Engagement Manager, Fidelity International
Serena is a member of the Fidelity International Early Careers Team, leading on Attraction, Diversity, and Engagement. This includes global equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives and programmes, as well as working with schools and universities, and social media. She is a recent joiner to Fidelity and to the Financial Services industry, having spent three years working as a HR Graduate in the FMCG industry.
Dayna Ambris, Employee Experience Manager, T. Rowe Price
Dayna has worked for T. Rowe Price for almost seven years. She started as the first Corporate Responsibility Consultant based outside of the US and now works for the Employee Experience team. This is a team dedicated to enhancing and engaging current and future employees, throughout their life cycle with the firm.
Prior to T. Rowe Price, Dayna worked in very different fields to financial services, including working as a project manager in the voluntary sector. She started her career in CR working for BBC Outreach after career break where she travelled the world.
At T. Rowe Price Dayna programme manages an apprenticeship scheme which is aimed at applicants who may not have access to the traditional routes into the financial service industry. Her passion for this work comes from a drive to try and help ensure people from ethnic minorities or lower socio-economic backgrounds do not face the same barriers that she tackeled when trying to pursue professional opportunities.
Jon Cragg, Co-Head of Developer Services Group, T. Rowe Price
Jon has worked for T. Rowe Price for 4 years in Tech. Jon is passionate about bringing people together with a focus on facilitating the growth of a diverse tech community. He is treasurer of the London Corp Responsibility team at T Rowe working with local charity partners, has been an active member of the London Associate-led events team, is co-founder of Codeclub and is a proud member of the Diversity Equity and Inclusion Support & Grow pillar here at T. Rowe Price.
