This session will focus on breaking down those barriers and giving audiences practical ways to start and continue money conversations. 10:50 From warning to informing: how a better understanding of risk can change behaviour?
This panel examines how the way we communicate risk can either deter people from engaging with investing altogether or empower them to make more informed, confident decisions. Too often, risk messaging is framed as a warning rather than an explanation. The discussion will explore how clearer, more meaningful communication of risk can help people better understand the trade‑offs involved in investing, build realistic expectations and support more positive long‑term behaviours. Panellists will consider what good risk communication looks like in practice, how it can evolve to reflect real consumer needs, and the balance between protecting consumers and enabling informed choice.
